In December 1990, the USO of Metropolitan New York adopted "Here in my
Heart" as the official anthem of "Operation Oasis," in remembrance of
troops serving in Operation Desert Shield and to their families.
I believe this photo was taken at the "Operation Oasis" event, December
2nd, 1990, at the Roseland Ballroom in New York (an event sponsored for
the spouses and children of servicemen and women serving the Gulf.)
