CHAPTER 6: British Smash!
The majority of Tiffany's European promotional trip in January of 1988 was spent in the United Kingdom. The Brits went nuts over Tiff! Tiffany did a series of mall appearances in Newcastle, Birmingham, and London, which were met with mass hysteria and media hype. One fan even fell through a record store window and had to be rushed to the hospital.
On February 6, when Tiffany's 2nd second single, "Could've Been," reached number one in the USA, "I Think We're Alone Now" topped the charts in Britain, making Tiffany the youngest artist to ever have simultaneous number ones in both the US and the UK.
