The Tiffany Vault
CHAPTER 19: All or Nothing
It had taken all of her 20s to get the right sound and the right team in her corner, but the mass public still did not have access to Tiffany's music. With few options left, Tiffany answered the one that kept knocking on her door. That's how Tiffany came to pose for Playboy.
For a month, Tiffany was all over television and radio, including shows that wouldn't book her before. (She made a point of this on the air.)
This was not the same Tiffany that had released "The Color of Silence" the year before. She had breast augmentation, pierced her nose, wore huge hair extensions, worked out a lot ... separated from her husband of 10 years. Tabloids reported affairs, fights, handcuffing, a DUI by Tiffany, and a suicide attempt by her husband. On Entertainment Tonight and her E! True Hollywood Story, Tiffany clarified what was going on. The reports were mostly true.
Careerwise, Tiffany snatched up a few fun gigs including appearances on Celebrity Bootcamp, and a guest spot on "That 80s Show." She was also featured on an episode of E! True Hollywood Story. By now it seemed public awareness had grown to where people thought of Tiffany as a viable musical act, and it showed in the number of live gigs she was able to book and sell out.
