The Tiffany Vault

CHAPTER 1: Cowgirl
Tiffany Renee Darwish was born October 2, 1971 to Jim and Janie Darwish. Her parents divorced when she was just two years old. At the same age, Tiffany began entertaining. Her cousin Darla taught her to sing her first song, "Delta Dawn," and inspired her to learn Tahitian dancing. Her mother enrolled her in ballet lessons and beauty contests. But it was her singing ability and stage presence that people found most remarkable.
By age 9, Tiffany had a career in country music as "Tiffany Renee," singing with bands at Barbeques, company picnics, clubs (such as "The Palomino" and "The Norwalk Moose Club"). Tiffany's mother would sew her outfits, and her stepfather would see to it that she got her chance to be heard.
Tiffany was discovered by country music veterans Hoyt and Mae Axton during the early '80s, while performing at a country nightclub in Los Angeles. For the next few years, Tiffany appeared on TV, continued to perform concerts (including opening a show for Jerry Lee Lewis and George Jones in Texas), and recorded several demos, in hope of landing a recording contract.
Tiffany was discovered by a producer named George Tobin while cutting demos at the age of 12. At the age of 13, Tiffany performed on "Star Search."
When Tiffany was 14, she recorded a ton of songs with Tobin and later signed with MCA Records.
